Equality Policy

Let’s Go- Let’s Go is responsible for setting standards and values to apply throughout the club at every level.

The aim of this policy is to ensure that everyone is treated fairly and with respect and that members, non-members, and visiting teams are not denied access to Let’s Go- Let’s Go because of a discriminatory reason.

There are three categories of discrimination:

  • Direct discrimination is where a person, in a group of people with the same or similar circumstances, is treated less favorably than the others in the group because of their race, gender, disability, or sexuality.
  • Indirect discrimination occurs where the effect of certain requirements, provision, or practices imposed by an organization has an adverse impact disproportionately on one group or another. Indirect discrimination generally occurs when a rule or condition, which is applied equally to everyone, can be met by a considerably smaller proportion of people from a particular group; the rule is to their advantage, and it cannot be justified on other grounds.
  • Positive discrimination is in favor of those who were formerly discriminated against, especially in the provision of social and educational facilities and employment opportunities.

Let’s Go- Let’s Go, in all its activities, will not discriminate or in any way treat anyone less favorably on grounds of age, gender, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, marital status, race, nationality, ethnic origin, color, religion or belief, ability, or disability.

Let’s Go- Let’s Go will ensure it treats people fairly and with respect and that it will provide access and opportunities for all members of the community to take part in and enjoy its activities.

Let’s Go- Let’s Go will not tolerate harassment, bullying, abuse, or victimization of an individual, which for the purposes of this policy and the actions and sanctions applicable is regarded as discrimination. This includes sexual or racially based harassment or other discriminatory behavior, whether physical or verbal.

Let’s Go- Let’s Go will work to ensure that such behavior is met with appropriate action in whatever context it occurs. This policy is fully supported by the Club Officers who are responsible for the implementation of this policy.

Let’s Go- Let’s Go is committed to taking positive action where inequalities exist and to the development of a program of ongoing training and awareness-raising events and activities to promote the eradication of discrimination and promote equality in Let’s Go- Let’s Go.

Let’s Go- Let’s Go is committed to a policy of equal treatment of all members and requires all members to abide by and adhere to these policies and the requirements of the Equality Act 2010.

Let’s Go- Let’s Go commits itself to the immediate investigation of any claims when brought to its attention, of discrimination on the above grounds and where such is found to be the case, a requirement that the practice stops, and sanctions are imposed as appropriate.
